STEPHEN Bear's fans are concerned for the welfare of his dogs and have demanded to know where they are following the tragic death of his puppy last year.

The 28-year-old reality star was blamed when Wolverine died at nine-weeks old when he caught an infection after having his front leg amputated.

In May last year - just weeks after Wolverine's death - Bear got two new puppies, Ronnie and Reggie.

But the Rottweilers haven't appeared on the star's Instagram feed since September - and his followers are confused by their whereabouts.

In fact, some are concerned that Ronnie and Reggie have suffered the same fate as Wolverine, with many commenting on snaps of the pups: "Try not to kill these ones."

Worried fans have flocked to the comment section of the majority of Bear's old photos of the dogs, asking why he hasn't posted about them.

One follower asked: "Where are your dogs now?"

Another followed suit, writing: "What's happened to Ronnie and Reggie?"

A third commented: "WHERE ARE YOUR BEAUTIFUL DOGS?"

Fans were left outraged last May when Bear revealed that he had found Wolverine dead in his blanket - just one month after he bought him.

They accused him of not caring for the puppy properly, letting him go outside before he'd had his injections.

Bear was also seen to encourage the dog to play and run about after having a paw amputated.

The star previously insisted that he was not responsible for Wolverine's death, adding that he'd followed a vet's instructions on how to care for him.

He said at the time: "Vets advise your dog to run around so its joints don’t seize up and to keep their body moving. Second of all, your dog is allowed out in the garden, I was told by the vet, so it can go for a wee or poo and it won’t catch nothing.

"Unfortunately I woke up, went downstairs and found my dog dead in its blanket, that’s what happened and no one sees me crying for two, three days afterwards."

A fan unleashed a huge rant about Bear shortly after news of the dog's death broke, writing: "I don't know why Stephen Bear is getting so much sympathy over the loss of his puppy. You were taking him outside before he had his full injections.

"No surprise he caught an infection resulting in needing his leg amputated at a few weeks old.

"The day you picked him up after the op you have him running around playing fetch when he should of been on cage rest. And you're surprised that you woke up to find him dead in his blanket?

"You are a f***ing disgrace and I hope you are never, ever, EVER allowed another animal in your company. You did not deserve a dog, you were using him as a prop for Instagram from the moment you got him."

The post soon went viral - being retweeted and favourited thousands of times.

When Bear went public with the arrival of his two new pups, he faced fierce backlash from followers.

One commented at the time: "Hopefully these two live to see their first year."

Another seethed: "Don't deserve any pet after what that poor pup went through."
